HP Focus Information and Subscriptions Summary: On September 28, 1992 Open Systems Today Magazine began featuring Hewlett-Packard products, services, and third parties in their magazine's new section, HP Focus. Because HP Focus is published once each month, HP sales representatives have a unique opportunity for reminding customers about HP. To get your customers a subscription, please complete the attached form and return it to the address shown. Free subscriptions are available to those who qualify. (Note: Your customer will receive the Sun Focus insert in alternate issues to HP Focus if they indicate they also own Sun equipment.) For those representatives working with Value Added Businesses and Distributors, you may consider recommending cooperative advertising. Details are shown below. What is Open Systems Today Magazine and HP Focus? Open Systems Today is a biweekly magazine for the DP/MIS manager. Total circulation is over 100,000. The audience is primarily in North America and some in Europe and Asia Pacific. Open Systems Today qualifies their subscribers to differentiate their magazine. Subscribers must be purchasers of open systems-related computer products and must buy over $100,000 annually. HP Focus is a 10 to 20 page special section within the magazine featuring editorial about Hewlett-Packard's computer systems businesses. Typically editorial will cover HP products, services, customers and third parties in the open systems market. All articles will be written by the Open Systems Today staff to maintain the impartiality of their magazine. HP is not sponsoring HP Focus. Open Systems Today is undertaking HP Focus based on HP's growing leadership in the open systems market and on incremental advertising revenues they expect from new advertisers - those interested in the HP market. HP Focus will be distributed once each month to those people in their circulation that either own, plan to buy, or have products which run on HP equipment. HP Focus distribution will be 45,000, almost one-half of Open Systems Today's total circulation. Creating awareness for our partner's products is made possible through cooperative advertising under the HP IMpact Program. For more information on this program, please refer to "HP IMpact Program Guidelines", P/N 5091-4223EUS. The advertising contact at Open Systems Today for third parties to use is: Marlene Stork, (408)725-4309. For HP advertisers, please contact Terri DuFour (408)725-4337 at Open System Today.
